The opening ceremony of Cape Verde's first Marina will take place today on the island of Sao Vicente, marking a key moment in the islands' tourism infrastructure development.
Mindelo Marina is the first Cape Verdean Marina worthy of the name, with a capacity of no less than 120 boats measuring up to 30m in length and 4.5m draft.
Investors looking for interesting opportunities overseas can now buy Marina berths for around 40,000.
Cape Verde is a favourite among island hoppers and water sports fans, and Sao Vicente is a good base for exploring the other nine islands of the archipelago, all boasting treasures and landscapes of their own.
Mindelo Marina will provide gas, diesel, water and electricity and offer a good range of services, from boat repairs, to marine engineering, rigging, brokerage, sail making and chandlery.
Chez Luz restaurant will also welcome adventurers after a long day out exploring the Western African islands.
